Bring your friends, have a cocktail and support your sisters as Utah's business ladies pitch for compassionately critical feedback & introductions to the top firms working to get capital into the hands of women-led businesses.
This pitch competition has an exciting twist: the first half of the evening will feature a special coaching workshop open to any women looking to develop, refine or perfect their pitch.
After the workshop, our live pitch competition will feature some of Utah's finest female-led startups. Whether you're on stage showing off your pitch skills or cheering on these amazing companies from the audience, we promise that this will be a pitch competition unlike any you've experienced!
It's not just HOW you pitch that's important, it's also WHO you pitch. Our mentors will provide coaching to give you the skills, tips, tricks and resources to both craft and refine your pitch, and to identify the perfect fundraising target to make sure that you have the best possible chance to secure the resources and capital you need to build your business.
Our live pitch competition will feature 5 female-led companies. Rather than a cash prize, the winners will get customized "introduction packages" that consist of a one-on-one consultation and personal intros to investors in our network (Utah and beyond) with a good track record of investing in and supporting female entrepreneurs.
You want to hone your pitch. Like, any kind of pitch.
Whether you're building a high-growth startup and pitching for capital, or just want to work on how to tell your story to potential customers, our seasoned mentors and coaches will help you refine content, build confidence and get results.
Oh, and if you want to support amazing women building businesses in Utah. There's that, too.
No matter what you're asking for, your pitch is one of the key tools that can help you break down barriers to getting what you need, whether it's raising rounds, closing deals, or recruiting the resources necessary for success. These are the experts who will help you take your pitch to the next level.
Sit down with the mentor of your choice in small groups for coaching on both HOW & WHO to pitch for results. Topics include:
Develop: Telling Your Story - If you don't yet have a fully-baked pitch, this breakout is the "Starter-Kit" to begin crafting your story.
Refine: Crafting Your Pitch - Timing, content & fine-tuning: this breakout is a safe space to practice your pitch with peers for "compassionately critical" feedback.
Strategize: Selecting Your Audience - Don't waste your time pitching the wrong people, identify various sources of capital and the best route for your company based on stage, sector and growth strategy.
The Pitch Competition is open to anyone who wants to support, and learn more about, our incredible women-led businesses in Utah. So even if you can’t make the coaching session, bring your partner, bring your friends, bring your colleagues and join us at 7pm to cheer on these fantastic companies!
Note: for those interested in attending just the competition, there will be “Pitch Competition Only” tickets available for $10. Doors for the pitch competition will be at 6:30.
